Runner-up effort at Lakeside Speedway

On the way back from USMTS racing in Wichita, Kan., Thursday, Zack VanderBeek and the 33z Racing team made a stop at the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., on Friday for some USRA Modified action at the historic 4/10-mile oval.

During the feature, VanderBeek startd ninth on the grid and ran down eventual winner Kerry Davis. VanderBeek made a charge but it wasn’t be enough on this night as Davis raced to the win while the runner-up spot went to VanderBeek.

The next USMTS event will be the Silver Dollar Nationals at the I-80 Speedway on Friday and Saturday, July 17-18.
