Zack and the 33z Racing team went chasing a $15,000 top prize this past weekend at the I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minn., for the inaugural Widow Wax Summersota Nationals for USMTS Modifieds.
He started 8th and 7th in his two heat races on Thursday and finished 4th in both contests. On Friday, he won his first qualifying heat from the pole, and then raced from 12th to 6th in his second heat.
His two-day points total set him up with a second-row start on Saturday and he advanced to the 72-lap "A" Main after finishing fourth.
In the main event, he started 16th and finished 8th en route to earning a $2,000 paycheck.
